With the type of setup I have done for my iPhone 4 I decided to make a Notification Badge to match the style.

Here it is for both retina and non-retina devices.

To get this to work add the relevant .png file from the .zip to your Bundles -> com.apple.springboard folder.

SBBadge@2x.png is for iPhone 4 and 4S
SBBadge.png is for 3G/3GS.

In order to get the number effect on the screenshot above I suggest you add the following to your info.plist in order to get the nice shadow effect on the number.

<key>BadgeStyle</key>
<string>
color: black;
text-shadow: 0px -1px 0px #ffffff;
</string>

Looks awesome!
I'd love to use but I'm not sure how to change the color of the number from white to black?
I added what you suggested to the info.plist in my jaku theme but no luck
Could you point me in the right direction?

Not really, if you have added the code I posted then it works fine for me, and other people, you dont have another snippet of code set for the badget style UNDERNEATH on your plist do you? As if you do that will over-ride it.

Make sure the code that you add to the plist is the last piece of code, after everything else.
